My Ass Is Hot
Lea came back in November. She lost half her body weight and is very affectionate now. She apparently is not happy unless she’s kneeding my lap before circling once, twice, a little more kneeding, ah, settling down for a nap. Hey! It’s not what you think, you pervs!
Granted I do need to discourage the kneeding occasionally, especially when it’s within the danger zone, but still I’m very happy she’s ok and alive. It was some dark weeks there for a while.
It’s cold as a witch’s tea if she left it outside the gingerbread house during the winter and a cold spell drifted down from Canada and the tea froze in the cup cracking the fine porcelain. It’s that cold.
But fear not, for I have discovered an amazing device. It’s a blanket that heats up with Tesla juice. And when I turn it on my entire bed warms up. Which is the most important location in the house that needs to be hot - the bed. So my blanket of warming (+9) keeps me toasty during the chilly winter nights. Unfornately I have been unable to convince any woman to experience the magic that is a hot bed and warm blanket so I must write about it in off rhyme poetry:
Oh blanket of warmth and comfort
You replace my chilled flesh with heat
And throughout the night you caress my dreams
With the stamina of horses to warm my bones
I must say for the first post of 2010 this isn’t that bad. I’m not sure what the title means but it’s probably related to the number 8 setting on my +9 Blanket of Warming reference and is most likely an unconscious desperate attempt to soliciate any cat calls from available woman who may be reading my posts. I’m not sure though since I’m currently in my computer room and it’s so cold I’m not thinking straight. I’m heading to bed soon. (My sleep number is: 55)
School starts again on January 11th. Still working toward the BA in IT with a minor in Administration. Going for my Masters in Administration after that. (Something I should have been doing ten years ago. Fool. But I was young and usually drunk so it might not have been as pleasant as it is now being as how I’m not young or drunk and learning is a lot more goal oriented and focused.)
Went to a Board Gaming Convention in Texas in November09. A lot more fun than I thought it would be and it got me back into Battlestar Galactica. I just skipped over the boxing episode. Season 4 was fantastic and they ended the series well, I think. (Met a guy who knew a guy who ordered a bride from the Phillipines. Interesting, but I’m not sure I’m there yet. Besides I’m still hoping the apocalyse is coming soon so the odds will tip in my favor. 8^)
New job is going great! Liking it a lot.
Finally broke down and put a cat door into the back door and took out the cat window I built myself. (I am not an engineer and should have probably just put the cat door in in the first place. Less water. No mold. > Drenched window sills. Small colonies of mold spores requesting citizenship. )
Car still runs.
Netflix is a very good service.
Still pissed off about the leaders of our country and the inertia of people in general, but hey, don’t really feel like getting into it now. Maybe later. Or not. “Come and play, come and play.”
Until then - everyone should get a PS3 and play Borderlands and COD: Modern Warfare 2
Still haven’t gotten borderlands. You aren’t surprised. Netflix streaming on the PS3 is magical. Glad the cat came back. I’ve been thinking of going back for a Masters.
Good to see you back! Haven’t got Borderlands either or MW2. Been busy with a new baby, but when I have a second, I’ve been playing God of War Collection. . . the hi def is great. REALLY looking forward to Heavy Rain. I think that may be a game changer. I also agree Netflix streaming on PS3 is SUPER. I didn’t think Netflix could get even better than it already was.
