What is going on here? (Or… Major Plot Point Perhaps?)

May 28th, 2009

Wow!

I mean really. To stay with this person and continually have sex with him even after knowing about the other women and knowing you already have kids with him… what are these women thinking? Please I need some insights here.

Perhaps I should back up a bit … but not in a doggy style I’m ready for another spawn sort of way.

Here’s what prompted this post: (Google search. It’s all over the web so don’t know who to cite since this came in an email without any links to the original news story.)

Tennessee man fathers 21 kids
Desmond Hatchett says 21 children is enough for him.

As if Octomom wasn’t bad enough, a Tennessee man, 29 year old Desmond Hatchett has now fathered at least 21 children he can’t support. Hatchett was in child support court again last week.  His name appeared on the dockett 11 times in one day, representing 15 of his children.

Hatchett says he wasn’t out to set a record.  He says he never intended to have this many children, “It just happened.”  He fathered the children by at least 11 different women and he claims all of the mothers knew about his large family.  The children range in age from newborn to 11 years old.

The question Knox County officials now face is how to support all these children.  Hatchett works a minimum wage job and by law the state can only take 50% of his paycheck for child support.  By the time that money is split 21 ways, some of the mothers get less than $2 per month.  That leaves the taxpayers footing a large portion of the bill for these children.

Even though Hatchett can’t support the children he has, there is nothing the state can do to prevent him from having more.  Hatchett reports that he had 4 children in one year, twice.  He says he’s done having children now, but only time will tell.  He does say that he’s a good father and knows the names, ages, and birthdates of all of his children.

All of the blame can’t be placed on Hatchett in this case.  One has to wonder about the women who chose to have his children.  In the end, the children and the taxpayers of Tennessee will pay for their choices for years to come.

So don’t get me wrong on this. I’m not entirely judging the women here. Listen as a man, you can have 1 perhaps 2 accidental kids but to have 21 is completely irresponsible and down right insane. To me this says, “I just don’t give a fuck about anything else except my nut.” In a society should truly selfish people be curbed of their selfish behavior? (Where is Professor Blight when you need him?)

I know men (and some women) will rut with most anything given the right conditions, but this is beyond the pale. But come on women! Women say “No” to me all the time and I don’t even have to say anything. They just turn to me out of the blue in the grocery line, or at the book store, or lean out of their car at a traffic light with their middle finger raised in salute and say “Yeah, right.” (which is translated to “No”. I will also accept: “In your dreams, pervert.”, “Chyaa!” and “Go away! You’re creeping me out.” Hey, maybe I’m telepath but can only send my thoughts? Hmmm…) So you’re telling me this man is that much of a sweet talker that 11 women bought his smooth operator at least 21 separate times? If this is the case this man needs a job as a motivational speaker or a salesman or something.

Or maybe he has a very large penis. Is it really about the size and girth of the penis? Does that override rational thinking in women? (In many of the movies I watch this is a major plot point for women. They are always so impressed they simply lose all sense of modesty and decorum.) Perhaps this guy is a walking Karma Sutra manual? I’m just really confused here.

Twenty-One kids. That’s almost the maximum limit of students allowed in a single class in Florida. We still have that law right?

I think this guy needs a bail-out. He should apply to Congress for Federal relief, maybe get him some overtime at the minimum wage job he’s working.

Thinking out loud

What the hell! Zombie food?!

May 21st, 2009

This is a fascinating article/blog post on something, probably, no one has any idea is happening to farmers around the world.

Apparently seed producing corporations are genetically engineering seeds that will become sterile after one growing season there by forcing farmers to purchase more seeds. The UN and many other nations said, “No, that’s probably not a good idea.”

So now seed producing corporations are producing Zombie seeds that remain sterile until a third product - in the form of a fertilizer or other material - is spread over the fields, there by activating the seeds to grow.

This means farmers have to purchase the seeds, and the reactive agent to make them grow.

Tell me again why the monetary system (and unchecked capitalism) is such a great way to run a society and how corporations have the best interests of the people in mind when developing products?

Thinking out loud, This Land

A week to recover & burying the lead.

May 3rd, 2009

I just go back from a week long trip in the Great Smoky Mountains.

I was one of three adult chaperones for a school function with 12 students (6 boys, 6 girls). Overall it was a very good week (lost ten pounds, got poison oak on the insides of of my ankles and calfs. Weird, I don’t know how I got those). Saw some amazing mountains, streams, and forests. I’ll put up some pictures later. Remind me if I forget, I’m still kinda in a fog, because now that I’m back:

– Must finish up two final exams for my semester today and tomorrow.

– Move my bank from the hacked bank to my new local bank (set up direct deposit, get visa/debt card, etc.) (Did I mention I got hacked again two days after getting my new credit card? I’m switching banks and filed a identity alert on my national profile with the three credit card reporting agencies. Equifax, Transnation, and the other one. Twice they got me, second time for $2000 in UPS shipping and Craigslist charges, and there is absolutely nothing to be done for it. The banks won’t give me any details, and since the charges were pending and didn’t actually process they have no details about where, when, or who used them. This is complete bullshit! I can’t believe there is no information on these transactions. What details are stored with the charges while they are pending? Come on people. Why are we letting these criminals get away with this? :x :-x  )

– Do all the laundry in the house and de-flea the entire home. Major flea issue occurred while I was away and now I’m covered in fleas. My legs look like they were sprinkled with pepper when I go into the back room. Ack!

– Straighten up a little bit before MerryMaid comes out on Thursday to give me an estimate on what it’ll cost to come out on a bi-monthly basis. (This house really needs to be cleaned and I’m just too pulled and unmotivated to do it right now. Once it’s clean for a couple months perhaps I’ll cancel the service.)

– Monthly credit card bills are due…. WAIT!

Nope. Don’t have to do that anymore. :D I’m credit card debt free. All my credit cards are paid off in full with no balance or pending transactions! Very happy about that, it’s been a long time coming. Will never fall into that hole again.

So while I’m still in the mountains mentally, I’m slowly returning to the “normal” routine  of life and work, which starts tomorrow (Monday 4May09).  Ugh. Should take another week and I’ll be good to go. :D
