A hit, a very palpable hit!
The city put a freeze on all hirings. It also dissolved all unfilled positions currently on the books so that doesn’t look good. The interview for the 9th has been canceled. (I did find out that 52 people applied, 30+ who were qualified, and only 15 interviews granted. I was one of the ones that got an interview. Fairly decent odds. I hope the other job positions are similarly stacked in my favor.)
No sweat though, I have several more paragraphs before the poison sets in.
In the meantime I got a $50 shirt and $20 tie from Men’s Warehouse so whatever interview I do get I’ll look very spiffy. (I had a $50 gift card for Men’s Warehouse otherwise I would have bought them elsewhere.) Did you know they make really nice shirts there? 
Took my English placement test today for Barry University. It was an article titled “Why We Must Put Up With Porn”. I had an hour to write the essay in response so I was only able to write two pages. (Just so you know the porn part in the article was a ruse. The article was really about the First Amendment. ssh. Don’t tell anyone. :wink:) I think I did well. We’ll see.
