Mapping out the Overload

January 13th, 2008

There are a lot of little things to do and a lot of big things to do plus some medium things that also need doing. Basically overload.

If you have ever found yourself in this position you may have considered joining a monastry/nunnery. And it might have been a good solution. Who wouldn’t want to read all day, grow food in the garden have lots of quiet time to reflect on ’stuff’. The problem is the reading section is rather limited and the garden only grows porridge and that stuff you’re reflecting on is forbidden fruit and you will never ever get to know. I imagine it would get rather tedious after a while but on the bright side things would be much simplier. It’s a trade off.

Well I’m not going in that direction with this little experiment (although at times I wonder what the difference is between my house and a monastry).

Regardless back on track. There are a lot of things I’d like to accomplish during this six month period. Both for myself as a person and because they will help ‘get things done’ around the house and yard.

To prevent overload I have used a free program call FreeMind. It’s a mind mapping software package (free) that helps you organize things that are swirling around in your head. Get them out of your mind and on paper(screen) so they can be better visualized. It’s pretty intuitative and easy to use.

So I created this mind map of some of the things that are going on in my brain and what I’d like to accomplish and get done that doesn’t require a lot (or any) money to complete.

Enjoy.

Ok, you’ve piqued my interest. . . what are “AM Game” and “Legacy” all about?? And NBP is looking great, why the immediacy??

Hey, did you see all the comics I have up for sale? Interested in any of them? I’ll make ya a good deal. If I don’t sell one comic by the end of this month I will burn the number one issue of Star Wars and take pictures then do a post about it. That’s right. I’ll burn this comic if it’s not sold.*

Sorry but I can not comment on the AM Game or Legacy. In fact I’m not sure I understand what you are referring. 8^)

Thank you for your comment about NBP. I appreciate it, but I know there are some things that could be improved. I’m working on those things.

Take it easy and thanks for reading. Be sure to pimp my wares to all your friends. 8^)

    * No, I won’t burn the comic. Honest. The comic is safe. But I will bite the head off this rubber bat.

Yeah, I looked over the list. I need to cross reference it with my database to see what I don’t already have. I believe I have most of them with the exception of your SW run. I have a few SW issues (actually, I think you gave me a couple many, many moons ago :), but I definitely don’t have such a complete set. I have a hard time justifying buying back issues since I spend so much on new stuff (what can I say, comics are my meth), but I will definitely consider it. But I’ve got a basement now, so at least I have room :)

Looks like I should check out the varient covers for my Star Wars collection. I may be selling myself short on these issues.

I probably did give you some a long time ago. That would explain what happened to my upper numbered comics for the series. I knew I had some in the 80s to 100s in a good series also, but don’t have them now. I think I might have sold them off for bacon or something.

Anywho… now that you talk about it, I’m gonna pull out those $.35 cent varients and see which ones I specificially have. We’ll see.

Thanks for the information and interest.
